Ingredients... one of my favorite topics.

Updated: Nov 2

At The Skin Lab Denver we take ingredients very seriously and use high grade, natural ingredients. For 6 months I studied natural ingredients, the benefits and differences of many different base, specialty, and essential oils then created a skincare line around the philosophy of being simple, natural, and affordable.

The skincare regime consists of only 2-4 steps and a very small number of ingredients. Think of it as "whole" skincare. Like your food, the less ingredients the better.

Step 1) Oil Cleanse-The Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) is a great way to cleanse and moisturize naturally. Instead of stripping the skin while cleansing, you actually balance your skins oil, remove, dirt, and make-up residue. In some cases the skin can take 2-4 weeks to adjust.

Begin by massaging in 10-12 drops of Squalane Oil (available for sale at The Skin Lab Denver) into dry skin. If your wearing heavy makeup remove makeup prior. Remove oil with a warm/hot cotton wash cloth. Repeat warm cloth twice. You can repeat oil twice if makeup is still present.

If you like to tone, I love and Cucumber Hydrosol, a cucumber water of sorts.

Step 2) While skin is still warm and damp from cleansing or spraying the cucumber hydrosol, apply Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, C-Serum all- in-one product available at The Skin Lab Denver. Again, this is an all natural product and 3 ingredients in total!

Step 3) Follow with Squalane Oil as your moisturizer. If you're heading out.... don't forget your mineral sunscreen! If you're putting make-up on straight away, you may want to wait 15-20 minutes to allow the oil to fully penetrate.

In total you have just used a total of 5-6 natural ingredients. Can't get much better than that! And, it works! Great for treating sensitive skin and acne.
